I worked today. Very easy day as a Drama teacher
One student asked me if I was really the supply teacher and I said I was only acting like it

I worked on my packing list tonight...

Surfer Son went by himself to the travel health clinic. He got his Yellow Fever shot and some Malaria pills. (We paid) Evidently he's going to be quite a distance from the "bad" areas. He decided to get 27 pills (for an approximate 14 day stay) The Dr. told him he could get more down there.

I'm working again tomorrow, so I think I'm going to try to go to bed before 11 tonight!!!!

    Can winencandy do it???

How's that going? I'd suggest taking some individual packs of travel sized liquid laundry soap, so you can wash any "essentials" in the sink, thus cutting down on how much you need to pack.

    Sounds totally reasonable.

I've figured out all my "non clothing" items, but I've only decided on 3 shirts so far.
And I can't decide how many bottoms to take...
    And shoes...omg

Hmmm, I've read of this practice...but I don't know...does anyone actually DO it??
10 pairs of underwear doesn't take THAT much space...

    Easy teaching day again today.

Bathed the itchy dogs again. Poor babies.

Today is the 11th sticker day in a row!!!

The other afternoon, I kept track of how many times I went up and down the stairs while doing laundry.
    Guess how many steps??

    344!

And I thought I didn't "do" anything that day.
    (I should do more laundry)

My first attempt at traveling light was 8 days in Paris with only a carry on worth of stuff. I think I brought only 2 pair of shoes, one casual sandal that could work with a dress and one very comfortable leather mary jane style flats. I didn't think it was possible, when hubby suggested it, but it really can work if you consider combinations of tops and bottoms that work together.

Um, yeah, I've done this lots of times! No big deal. And not just with undies, but also shirts/pants/dresses of lightweight "travel" fabrics, like stuff from Columbia, Patagonia, Lole, Ex Officio and so on. Stuff that dries fast and doesn't need ironing, or the wrinkles just fall out once you put the stuff on.

I like the concept, truly I do...I shall try to pack lighter than I usually do, but I don't think I'm ready for carry on only. Yet.

Maybe I'll have to do a "practice run" at home - kinda like Sabine's limited wardrobe...maybe...

Good practice for La Tour Eiffel, I believe there are 700 steps to the second platform there. Keep up the good work!

    Seen on a Facebook post:

"Tired of going to see Specialist and doctors who get paid so much money to tell me that there is nothing there and that I shouldn't be feeling any pain!!! I wish that these specialist would feel what it's like to have this pain so they would know what's it like!!! I have had Kidney stones for 20years now and been to several specialists and still no one knows what is going on. Until you do find out, don't act like there is nothing wrong!!!!!"

And someone's reply: "Have you told them your diet is garbage? Maybe they should look into that first..."

    I LMAO!!
