Well, you have had quite the few days, haven't you?

Performances are never perfect. But it sounds like they are going well, so you should be happy. Aim for perfection, settle for excellence.

The performance went (almost) flawlessly. The backstage drama was sureal.
Tons of misunderstandings, hurt feelings, etc...

    Saturday

    I slept till noon.
Frittata (this seems to be my "go to" breakfast/lunch
I sewed a ripped pair of pants for one of the characters. (Didn't know THAT was a Stage Manager's job either...where's the costume lady??) Opened the wine. Discovered I already had an almost full bottle open...Drank a glass of each.
Supper was pork chop (I'm eating a lot of pork lately) cauliflower, squash
Chai on my way to the play. I got there before anyone else. I had no key, so I walked to the grocery store, looking for something. Yeah, shouldn't have done that. I bought Real Fruit gummies, a dark chocolate bar and some Brazil nuts.

We almost didn't start on time 'cause a guy in a wheelchair got stuck in the elevator! They opened the door and 3 firemen lifted him up 18" out of the elevator.

All through the 1st Act, I kept thinking about the gummies. Of course I opened them at intermission. And ate almost the whole bag - I gave a few to my sound guy. The chocolate and the nuts are still unopened.

We had backstage drama before, during and after the show.

After the show I went to the bar with 3 actors (none of them were directly involved with the drama) and I had a couple coolers. BUT I had NO fries or deep fried broccoli and cheddar poppers!

    Sunday

I slept till about 11. And then Lily climbed on my stomach and didn't want to leave, and Josie laid across my leg so I stayed with them for about a half hour. Slow easy pj day. I moved around some boxes in the porch, I unpacked a couple boxes in my room, did laundry, dishes (everything that was 'let go' during this week's play run)

I had a LONG text conversation with one of the play people (who wasn't there and missed out on the drama)

    Breakfast/lunch was another frittata.
Supper was roast chicken, cauliflower and carrots, whipping cream and raspberries for dessert.
I nibbled on a few almonds, cranberries and chocolate chips (left overs in a bowl)

I was going to put up my tree today, but that didn't happen.

One of the kittens, Orbie (the black & white one) is in heat.
My Farmer let Max (the intact male outdoor cat) in the sunroom - cause it's cold and rainy out
They are staring at each other through the patio door

    Monday

I had a hard time falling asleep last night, I went to bed at 11 and was still up at 1

I had to teach at the local school today, luckily not until 10:20 am. Remember when I used to pack those cute Bento lunches? Well I thought I'd try i t again. I used the same size container, but this time I only packed it half full...and guess what? I had a hard time finishing it! (I left a carrot) Weird.

After work a few glasses of wine were consumed (3) with a few pistachios. My Farmer made chicken soup from the left over roasted chicken for supper. I had a small bowl of berries and cream. Then I wanted to try Greensprout's banana brownie. It made 2, I ate one, and now I feel over full.

Tonight I'm catching up on some computer stuff. Play things, Home Instruction stuff, boring stuff that needs to be done.

    Lovely lunch indeed!

As for the brownie treat, we'd better give due credit to Curlygirl, as it is her recipe. It is awfully good. I've seen variations with pumpkin, but have yet to try those. Since I love the primal pumpkin muffins, I'd bet they would be good.

I had a giggle at your star crossed lovers image. Even more so, since your male cat's name is the same as my son #1 .

Wait! How can it be bento, without Hello Kitty?!? Isn't there a rule or something?

    Tuesday

I dragged my sorry but out of bed at 9, and made it to my Home Instruction Student's for 10.
After I did a little window shopping in town and then came home and made my Hello Kitty Bento lunch. (2pm) I used a smaller glass container. (I put my hand in the photo for perspective) There is chicken, pepperoni, Brie, cauliflower, mushroom, olives, grapes and Brazil nuts in it.

I took the Butterflies out to the barn to get a measuring tape and I measured their fence so I'd know how long of a string of lights I'd need for it. It's 40' x 44'! Then I measured my office. I'm trying to design some cabinets/shelves for all my "stuff"...

I felt like munching on something, so instead I hopped in the car and went back to town for outdoor Christmas lights. I bought a 70' strand (it covers the front of their pen and down to the gate) I also bought 4 battery operated candles for my front windows. They flicker.

I had a glass of mead while stringing the lights. Supper was sausage, onions, peppers and tomatoes, followed by Curly Girl's 2nd banana brownie.

After supper we set up the artificial tree. It almost touches the ceiling in this house! (Our old house had 9' ceilings) I'm not sure I'll be able to put the angel on top! (I'll save decorating it for another day) I made a hot chocolate while I was arranging the branches (whipping cream, hot water, cocoa, and Chai spices) Then I made a batch of "regular" shortbread for my family. I haven't looked at the primal shortbread yet.

I am a longtime lurker that just got a login so I could announce myself to the journals I've been stalking I just read your whole journal and I must say it was wildly entertaining (and long!!). Keep up the good work and remember that wine has a whole host of health benefits (the more the better).
