    Yup. I mean, a little cheating occasionally is good for us (that's my theory anyway) and it's so frustrating when it slides down so fast we barely have time to taste it.

    Primal shortbread. I've been wondering about the same thing. I guess I better call on my Google-Fu and see what I come up with. I have trouble believing it is possible, quite honestly. But maybe I will at least find something wheat-free.

    Yup! Doesn't happen all the time, but when it does

    Thanks for posting all the day summaries (always fascinating!) and of course the photos! I guess I shouldn't giggle at poor wet doggie, but I will anyway.
    It's hard not to giggle at her
    And thanks, but I don't think they are "always fascinating" (the rare ones are )

    Thursday

    Daughter had a 9am dentist apt in London. X-rays and molds for braces $425! Ouch
    $tarbucks and LCBO for some Beaujolais Nouveau
    After lunch I went to my Home Instruction Student's for a couple hours. Then I gathered a PickUp truck load of set pieces and props for the play. I grabbed some leftover meat and went to the Technical Rehearsal. It was almost 11 when we finished, so of course I stopped at the local bar for a glass of wine with some of the cast

    Foods
    Chai
    A Chai TEA only! No Latte! From Starbucks (with cream added)
    2 small left over chicken thighs and 4 small cubes of Brie
    2 glasses of Beaujolais Nouveau
    2 pieces of leftover pork loin, a couple squares of coconut "stuff"
    Another Chai
    Nibbles out of a bowl of almonds, cranberries and dark chocolate chips that I took to the play
    Glass of white

    I forgot, I had to get my photo taken for the play programme.
    My hair was a mess...
    I HATE getting my photo taken
    Of course the director and photographer BOTH commented on how photogenic I was...whatever

    Friday

    Of course I was dead tired this morning...
    I had a hair apt at 10:30 - to hide my grey with some foil high & low lights (same as last few times)
    (Couldn't have had the photo taken TODAY)
    The hairdresser and a client kept talking about how wonderful my curly hair was...
    I just said I used to hate it, but I like it now. Of course It has a mind of its own.

    The woman doing the program texted me and commented on how photogenic I was too...
    I said "that's funny, I HATE getting my photo taken, I never like the results. Maybe everyone thinks the same?"
    She replied "I think everyone is self critical...except for narcissists"

    After lunch (and dishes - by hand. We bought a dishwasher about a month ago, and it's STILL at the store!) I went to my Home Instruction Student's and we worked for a couple hours. Home again, more Beaujolais nouveau, more cleaning...

    Surfer Son's girlfriend was here for supper. A local Santa parade was tonight. We thought about going, but never left the couch...The "kids" went to it. My excitement for the evening? Waiting for the Self-Cleaning cycle to finish on the stove...

    Foods
    Chai
    1/3 of a Brie, a couple squares of coconut "stuff" another Chai
    Beaujolais nouveau, a few Brazil nuts
    Sausage, 1/2 baked potato, cauliflower, a few baked beans
    Another paleo brownie (do yourself a favor, don't click on the link)
    another 1/3 of the Avocado oil fried chips (I should have had my 3o'clock meal)

    Veggies, WnC, veggies! I can't see any on Thursday at all.

    I'm checking out some shortbread recipes now. I got distracted the last time and didn't do it.

    Paris and Barcelona?? I'm so jealous!!!

    Of course you know I loved my Paris trip. And we spent several days in Barcelona at the end of a cruise 4 years ago with the boys...it is the most amazing city. I loved it and plan to return one day. The atmosphere, architecture (gotta love Gaudi), Las Ramblas, well, you'll see and love it too. I also love the bracelet idea as a tangible reminder of your goals. That's actually an awesome idea.

    As for the avocado oil chilean lime potato chips...I have to admit, they are dangerous. Great, delicious, and dangerous. I've managed to avoid them for the last 6 months, but when I see them at the Bulk Barn, I'm always tempted.

    Saturday
    Boring day. Mostly cleaning & groceries.
    I decided late in the afternoon to invite some friends over (I figured with the play coming up I would be tied up for a couple of weeks). We had a wonderfully relaxing evening. Visiting, cards, snacks (Primalish – Melted Brie with pecans and maple syrup and rice crackers, pistachios, cheeses, dried apricots stuffed with cheddar and almonds, and pepperettes), and surprise – later in the evening I found myself drinking cold Rose Hibiscus tea (it’s red) in my red wine cup! I know!

    Foods:
    Chai
    Frittata for lunch
    Pepperettes & cheese
    Beaujolais nouveau wine
    Pan fried perch & cauliflower for supper
    Wine & Snacks

    Sunday

    I spent most of the day writing my Stage Manager “Blurb” for the programme. And it was only 4 lines. I finally finished ‘cause I had a deadline to meet. Wanna read it?

    Dear Intrepid Traveler;
    Welcome. Creating the Ritz-Apache Lodge was a blast, I couldn’t have asked for a better initiation into the world of community theatre. We have an excellent cast and crew prepared to offer you their best. I trust your stay with us will be both amusing and memorable.
    Enjoy

    Please don't say "You spent all day writing THAT?"

    After I sent it I went to a local craft show and bought a fresh mixed pine wreath for my inside back door. Maybe, if I remember, I’ll take a photo of it (as well as the urn for the back door) I also bought some garlic jelly (perfect on melted Brie) and some (milk) chocolate snowflakes (for Christmas)

    Play practice was at 6, so I fried up some zucchini to eat with the pork roast my farmer made for supper.

    Look Judg - veggies!

    Foods
    Chai
    Tomato “soup” (that my Farmer made – stewed tomatoes, onions and carrots))
    Cheese (left over from Saturday night)
    Red wine (also leftover from Saturday night)
    Pork loin & zucchini
    Coconut stuff in car on the way to practice
    Bengal Spice

    Monday
    It’s the start of Muzzle Loader Deer Hunting week here at Winencandy’s ranch. This morning the Farmer, Surfer Son AND Daughter ALL went hunting, and I went to work…

    This was Daughter’s 1st hunt. She “pushed” the bush with her Father. She didn’t use the gun. Surfer Son shot 2 deer!

    I had transportation and construction students that didn’t want to do paper work. Lunch was a 1/3 of a small Brie. I nibbled on a little more on the drive home.

    I stopped at a LCBO and bought 2 boxes of Linden Bay wine ‘cause the LCBO lady told me they could no longer get it from the warehouse! I asked about their nouveau wines, but they were sold out already

    When I got home I painted a sign for the play (Yup, tonight was dress rehearsal and I was STILL designing set pieces…) Then I organized my notes for the play, printed off new cue sheets for the prop girls and gathered my wine corks. (If you burn a wine cork and then rub it on your face it looks like 5 o’clock shadow) THEN my Butterflies snuck into my bag (which was right by my feet) and stole all but 2 corks and chewed them up!!! Oh, I finished the red wine (just a small glass).

    I grabbed leftover pork loin and some coconut “stuff” and ate it on the way to Dress Rehearsal. (Yes, Judd, I know there were no veggies)

    Dress Rehearsal went fairly well, just a few missed cues. My fault. Did I tell you I’m now Technical Director as well as Stage Manager? The earpiece hurts my ear, I’m gonna bring my own on opening night. I don’t like my crew photo, my head is tilted and I look like I have a fat neck…why is it always SO easy for me to pick out the faults 1st?? OK, I like my hair in the photo.

    Josie was being cute, trying to get the empty toilet paper roll off the holder

    Sorry for the poor quality, the lighting in my downstairs bathroom SUCKS, especially at night.

    Tuesday
    I had 2 supply jobs today. A morning in one city and an afternoon in the other! I JUST had enough time at lunch to drive to the 2nd school! Kids were OK, I guess…(better in the afternoon school). The morning was Transportation guys who did NOT want to do paper work (surprise, surprise) the afternoon was Communication Tech students.

    A little shopping after school (different LCBO, more nouveau wine) and then home. I started the furnace wood fire, did some dishes (about of the huge pile) poured a glass of nouveau wine and opened my Stage Manager/Technical Director binder. I did a few things then it was time to go to my Daughter’s band performance. I wasn't hungry, so I skipped supper. When we got back she helped me find a prop (an old hat of hers) from one of her boxes. Another glass of wine and more play stuff.

    Foods

    Chai
    some leftover pork loin, a little Brie, and some coconut "stuff" in the car on my way to the 2nd job
    Chai
    what was left of my lunch on the way home
    red wine

    ~~~~~
    Opening night is tomorrow night!!!
    Eeeek!
    I think I’m ready (although I have a page of things I still need to do, and I sent off an email to the Director clarifying a few things). There are performances Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday night. And then next Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
    I won't be on here much…
    While I'm not yet back to 139,
