Sunday

I was up at 8! Fried egg and 3 bacon slices.

We went for a walk out in the field with the Butterflies. 6 deer ran across the field in front of us! The dogs didn't see them, but when we got to their trail, Lily found it and was off! She ignored my calls I followed her, picked her up and carried her back. She wanted down, I said "too bad,so sad. If you don't come when I call, you don't get to walk"

We planted TONS of flower bulbs. My Farmer dug the holes and I planted them. Tulips, Daffodols, Hyacinths, and Crocuses. We took down the cornstalks and tossed the pumpkins in the field. By then it was noon and my back was done.

Lunch was a cucumber, zucchini, bacon, feta and olive salad.

I made some more props for the play in the afternoon, started some beef stock and then did some boring house cleaning.

I had a couple glasses of wine. Supper was a roast beef in the crock pot, squash, broccoli, and a mango.

(Don't tell Gay Panda) I watched Breaking Dawn part 1 after supper...
while watching it, I ate a small bowl of cranberries, sliced almonds and dark chocolate chips

Every fall, I intend to plant spring bulbs. They are my most very favourite sort of flowers. And once the snow fall every year, I think now why the heck didn't I plant those bulbs? Yes, we're now buried in snow, and once again, no fall planting done. Sigh. I'm very pleased for you. I'll give you my address to send those flowers to in the spring .

We're in spring, and reaping the consequences of not planting bulbs last autumn. Maybe we'll do it this year!

I don't discuss this in public, but I went to the midnight double feature of breaking dawn last week. It was total escapism and I had a great time - not the kind of thing an aspiring professor admits to

Went to Breaking Dawn: Part II Thursday evening for the midnight show, and enjoyed it thoroughly. I watched Part I just beforehand, to get into the mood. No spoilers, but they did something cool with the credits in Part II that fans of the series will appreciate.

The only downside was throwing off my sleep schedule. Will be glad to have it on dvd next year, to watch at my leisure.

There is that. I was on a roll right through the credits () then suddenly went 'oh, crap, it's 2.30am and I'm nearly an hour from home'. Worth it though.

I'm afraid I can't get enthusiastic about the Breaking Dawn stuff. Sorry.

I could get really enthusiastic about your meals though, WC. Yum! And the spring flowers. I still have some that come up in the spring, despite the terrible neglect they have been subject to.

Breaking Dawn isn't for everyone. Surfer Son's new girlfriend went to see it. Without Surfer Boy. He watched the 1st one (Daughter made him) he HATED it!

Maybe I should start taking more meal photos?

Monday

Supply teaching. I realized 15 minutes into my drive that I'd left my breakfast quiche on the table
I drank my Chai with whipping cream - I didn't forget that!

Good school, great students. Lunch was a slice of quiche (spinach, onion, cheese, bacon, cream, eggs)

After work I went to the chiropractor's and then to an unfinished furniture store for some ideas. I also bought some Macadamia nut butter (I've been reading my old posts and I thought I'd try it again)

Supper was leftovers.
And then the last band practice before our concert next Monday night. Hmm, maybe I should practice???

Well, from 3 - 7pm, I'm weak.

I've decided that I'm going to use my up-coming trip as both a goal and motivation.

Oh, didn't I tell you???

I'm going to PARIS and BARCELONA in March!!!!!!!

On my Daughter's school trip. We will be doing a LOT of walking. Everyday is packed!

For a change, my goal and motivation is NOT to lose weight. (although it would be nice) It is to keep up with a group of young healthy teenagers, everyday, for 10 days! I don't want to be the "old lady" huffing and puffing at the back of the group! I hope that this will work better for me, be a healthier goal to aim for.

I felt like I needed something "physical" to remind me of this. 'Cause I've known about the Paris trip since spring, but have I been preparing?? Noooo. Now that it is 15 weeks away, it's time to get serious! (Yeah, I know, you've heard it before) So, anyway, back to the physical reminder. I bought a black and silver bracelet. I plan on wearing it everyday. The theory is that whenever I'm about to make a choice, I'll see the bracelet and think "Will this get me closer to my Paris goal?" Both with food choices AND (once I get the OK from my Chiropractor) exercise. Mainly walking and stairs. Probably with weights (to represent my camera bag)

I think that's an excellent plan! Specifically, that you're not stressing yourself by 'neeeeeeding to lose x billion kilos by the end of the month', that you have a goal to feel good and to keep up, and that you have a bracelet to remind yourself of the goal. Cool.
