Great video wineandcandy. Nothing like starting your day with a good cry! My most favorite job was working with military families in L&D. We had to be very creative to have dads "attend" the birth at times.

I saw your post this morning, but had to wait until now to watch the video. I needed to see it again alone, with no hubby or kids around. Thanks for posting it again this year.

    Okay, I cried too.

My uncle fought in WWII, the only one of the brothers old enough to go. My dad served in the Air Force, but was just the right age to hit only peace.

I'm glad you liked it. It's my fav Remembrance Day video. I watch it every year.

    Sunday

I took the Butterflies with me to the Remembrance Day ceremony. There were other dogs there too. Mine did NOT bark

It was a BEAUTIFUL day! I cut my rosemary and dumped out both the rosemary and basil pots. I put the summer chairs in the green house and I debated planting some bulbs I ordered from a school fundraiser, but my back said NO. So I took the Butterflies for a walk on the beach instead

Supper was roast chicken and all the "fixins" Surfer Son brought his NEW (1st) girlfriend for supper!

    Monday

    Slept in till 9ish.
    Supply teach from 11:30 - 1
Worked on the Band Concert poster, gathered some props, and made business cards for one of the characters in the play.
At 4:45 I got a last minute invite for drinks and supper at a friends house, my Farmer was there already.
From past experience (lots of drinks, late meals), I grabbed my flute, the props and quickly ate some left over chicken with an avocado before I went over (at 5). I figured I'd visit for a bit and then leave for play practice and band. To my great surprise they had supper ready when I got there! I wasn't very hungry ('cause I'd just eaten) but I took a 1/2 a chicken breast and some fried mushrooms. I left at 6, dropped the props at play practice and then went to band.

    Snack at band was NACHOS!

    Guess what I had???

Here's a photo from the set construction on Saturday:

Oh! Starting to be a bit more serious when they bring them home to eat.

I always try not to be intimidating. Hmm, maybe I should switch it up, just to see what happens, LOL! Problem then is, if he actually marries her, we're off to a bad start... Only have one DIL so far, but she's great.

Yes, I always try to be nice, friendly, and non intimidating too. Eldest has brought several home. I get attached to them and then it ends I hope he keeps the latest.

    Tuesday

Up at 9, left at 10, supply teaching job from 11 - 2.
Shopping. I bought some Organic Cacao Nibs. From Peru.

I nibbled on them on the ride home.

Supper was fried pork loin, balsamic carrots and rice. My Farmer decided the pork loin needed "something" and he put a can on Cream of mushroom soup on it I had a small bowl of frozen blueberries with whipping cream. I made "tea" with the cacao nibs. It had a weak chocolaty flavour.

The Butterflies are itchy. My Farmer gave them a bath 'cause I can't bend over the tub
