    I like that fencing. I've never seen anything like it.

    I already do that

    Yeah, I like it too. Now I just have to FIND it!

    I like doing that too, filling up a wineglass with mineral water and putting on some good music while I'm cooking. Makes me feel so sophisticated, LOL!

    Wednesday

    I walked/ran for 25 minutes in the morning!

    Then it was a trip to London with College Son* and Daughter.

    On the way College Son* dropped off his resume at the local grocery store.** He got an interview on the spot***, and hired as a FLOOR MANAGER on the spot! He starts Monday. Full time.

    Returned a zebra print throw rug I'd bought for Daughter. We decided that the new bedroom was already carpeted so she didn't need it. Of course I'd forgotten the receipt, so I now have a HomeSense store credit for $50. What ever will I do with that

    Returned two things to Novacks that College Son* didn't use on his Africa trip. A PacSafe metal mesh for his backpack, and a mosquito netting, both still in original packaging. Again, no receipt. Store Credit for $112. Novacks sells Merrell barefoot shoes...

    Took College Son's* Macbook Pro into the Apple store for a repair. Sticky space bar. 4 days short of one year. Covered.

    Exchanged Daughter's Blackberry battery for a new one. Her phone's only a week old!

    Bought a couple of DVDs.

    Left College Son* in London with a friend.

    Home by 7, sat on the couch and surfed Pintrest till 1am...
    Damn Pintrest

    Foods
    Chai with whipping cream
    2 eggs scrambled with green pepper and feta, homemade dill pickle
    $tarbucks Chai teabag (not the pre-made latte syrup) with cream
    $tarbucks fruit & cheese tray (it was 5 and I was hungry) green apple, small wedges of Gouda, Cheddar & Brie, almonds and cranberries****, and some kind of crackers (which I didn't eat)
    Spaghetti sauce with onions and green peppers*****

    So my only "Off Plan"****** eating was the cranberries.
    Not bad.

    ~~~~~
    I'm adopting GP's *
    * who, btw, decided he's not going back. Long Story. So he'll need a new name. Again.
    ** where he used to work in the meat room
    *** two questions: "Can you lift heavy things?" and "Can you work weekends?"
    **** which were probably sweetened
    ***** I checked the label - no sugar in the jarred sauce.
    ****** I've decided to readopt Batty's phrase. It's NOT cheating. It's NOT failing. It's Off Plan
    Hooray for getting out for a run .
    And about he who was up to now known as College Son, not sure whether I should extend congrats about his new job or about his choice to not return to school. I'll be interested in hearing the saga.
    What is it with boys, anyway
    idk, you'd think that I'd have them figured out by now, he IS my 3rd
    His decision:
    It's complicated.
    The two boys he went to Africa with are also not returning.
    He says there was too much of a focus in the course on "Running a Business" for him.
    Not what he wants to do.
    Now he's not even sure he wants to join the army.
    Maybe a year of working will help him figure it out.
    Thursday
    The morning was spent polishing my resume and cover letters for a couple of teaching jobs that were posted this week.
    In the afternoon I stopped at local school to use their fax machine to send them out. Then I bought groceries.
    After supper I packed some of my teaching stuff and threw out more.
    I don't think Lily is feeling 100%. She's not acting like herself. A vet visit might be in order
    Foods
    Chai with whipping cream
    Tuna, Havarti, Gouda, tomato
    2 blue plums
    Club Soda and lime
    Pork ribs (with a very small amount of BBQ sauce), 1/2 a feta stuffed zucchini, Caprese salad with mini Bocconcini and cherry tomatoes, one cob of sweet corn, fried onions and green peppers and tomatoes, cottage cheese with maybe a 1/4 of a peach (it wasn't ripe, so I didn't eat it)
    Sugar in the BBQ sauce...
    Still, sick dog or no, it sounds like you've had a lot of good news.
    The vet's away on a training weekend. We have a Monday morning appointment.
    Of course, Lily's feeling better today.
