    That looks like something I would see back home, if anyone actually thought that far . Yes, I come from a long line of redneck folkses.

    Hmm, I do get the impression you like bright colours.

    It's funny, for most of my life I've been a black, grey, brown, tan,olive green girl.
    But that's changes over the last year or so...

    Weird

    Tuesday

    I did some packing today!
    I packed 2 boxes of school texts, a box of my clothes, filled a bag of clothes to give away, and a bag to throw away.
    It's a start.

    Soccer Daughter had a soccer game tonight. It was a tie. She has a HUGE blister on her heel

    Lily dug a hole today:

    Taking a break:

    Yes, that's her tail!:

    Here's the hole. It even has a curve in it!:

    And then this evening she ate corn on the cob!
    I held the cob and she chewed the corn all off it!
    Silly girl.

    You're timing your change in tastes well. Bright colours are all over the place right now. That happened to me in the 80s. I just got fed up with neutrals and earth tones, and everybody else seemed to do so all at the same time. I guess we had overdosed. And then we overdosed on neon colours and swung back to grunge... And around and around we go.

    Wednesday

    was the day Marty McFly arrived in the "future"

    Think about that...

    ~~~~~
    My Daughter and I went for a 2nd tour of our new house. We took measurements. I have SO MANY ideas in my head now
    The closet in my bedroom is 4'x8'.
    Imagine that.
    ~~~~

    A good friend of mine shared his packing "system" with me when I was feeling overwhelmed.

    You need a binder, a pen, a marker and boxes.
    You number each room in your new house. eg: Kitchen is 100, living room is 200, etc.
    You then pack and each box for the kitchen is labeled 101, 102, etc
    In the binder, you write a list of the items in box 101, 102 (as detailed as you wish)
    Before you move, put up a sign at each room (100-199 for kitchen)
    Movers put boxes in appropriate rooms.

    If you need something, consult the binder to find it.

    I shall try this

    ~~~~~
    Of course he also told me I have to purge.
    I suck at purging...
    ~~~~

    I was awake until WAY past 2:30 am. My mind was full of decorating/arranging ideas.

    Thursday

    I went into the VW dealership today and paid off my car loan!!!
    $6,421.65

    It felt AWESOME!!!

    Then my daughter and I went shopping

    I bought seat covers for my beetle. The seats are leather and they get quite HOT in the sun. I keep two small fleece blankets in the car and we put them on the seats when we get out to shade them. We will try the covers instead.

    I returned a shirt I bought 29 days ago and hadn't worn yet.

    I bought new collars for the Butterflies.

    New brown flipflops.

    And a few other (boring) things.

    Mall salad for lunch.
    Wine, BBQ chicken, fresh yellow beans and zucchini from the garden, ice cream and blueberries for supper.

    Friday

    I made a quick trip back into London to do a couple returns/exchanges.
    The rest of the afternoon was spent on the deck with my Farmer, a bottle of blueberry vodka, club soda, and limes
    We had yellow beans, zucchini and kolrabi from our garden and we BBQ'd perch on a cast iron grill.

    University Son came home.

    Saturday

    We worked on the trailer for a while and then we went to a friend's father's memorial BBQ and bonfire party.

    My friend's dad died in the winter, but he'd wanted a big party instead of a funeral. So his family threw him a big party! There was easily over 200 people there. And 7 trailers. They live on a 100 acres of bush and they had trails all through it. We rode around on a tour of the bush. Supper was roast beef (tons) and fresh caught pickerel with french fries and salads,, with ice cream for dessert.

    I drank a bottle of rose wine and some blueberry vodka with San Pellegrino and lime juice. My Farmer was silly drunk

    Late in the evening, around midnight?, an ex-friend (someone who had stopped talking to me 3 years ago) came and sat down beside me. She had been talking to my Farmer and he told her to come talk to me. She was quite drunk, but she said she missed me and wanted to know if we could be friends again. I said it would take some time.

    We shall see. I will go back into it s l o w l y. I won't be hurt again. But it is time. 3 years is a long time. Of course she still doesn't talk to my other 4 best friends (we used to be a group of 6) I am not looking forward to telling them we talked. . .

    Life was "smooth" in our group after she left. But I never felt "right" about things that happened.

    I am SO tired of high school games.
