Well, congratulations on one of the easiest house sales in history! That will leave energy for the work to be done in the "new" house. Uninsulated? In Canada?? I didn't know such a thing even existed. That anybody survived to the ripe old age of 90in there is close to miraculous.

LOL! Hey, I leave my thermostat on relatively low. That has more to do with cheapness though. I figure it's crazy to heat the house enough to wear summer clothes inside. If I'm still cold with a sweater and a scarf on (not a wool scarf, I'm not that eccentric) then, and only then, will I jack up the thermostat.

Yeah, it was very easy (1 1/2 days worth of cleaning)
Yup, uninsulated. 90 yr old man was born in the house.
We will be changing that!

Thursday

Um. A blur.
The young man who's buying our house came by at noon, He was going to the lawyers.
Laundry. Bank for travel insurance and US funds.
LCBO for packing boxes.
Made potato salad in a cast pot on the BBQ (too hot to cook inside)
Worked at the booth from 5-8. Ate too many gummy worms.
Damn things.

Friday

More laundry. Organizing things for College Son's trip.
Picked up South African Rand ($)
Went out to tour through my "new" house!
Came home at 3:30 to find out College Son needed a police check!!!
Police station is 1/2 hour away and they closed at 4! A quick phone call and the lady there offered to wait until we got there.
We FLEW there!
She found his police check from last year and gave us a copy, gave him a sheet to fill out and photocopied his ID for a new one. I need a sheet from the volunteer organization and a signed sheet from College Son to get him a new one. Then fax/email/mail it to the organization.
Good Grief!!
BOYS

Supper was BBQ chicken, broccoli and wine!

More laundry after supper.

College Son is almost packed. We leave at 9 tomorrow morning to meet the other boys in Hamilton.
