Good luck, I think you deserve a drink AND chocolate! I'm lucky I have a cleaning lady who just cleaned the house yesterday, DH's (American) boss is coming to dinner tonight and I can concentrate on cooking and not on cleaning!

Oh my. I reiterate, oh my.

Having said that, sounds like your Farmer is a really nice guy. We need more of that kind.

    Thank you!

Yeah, I was kinda freaked out! I have stuff stuffed in suitcases and closets and everywhere! AND I had to work today! I only got home at 5! My Eldest met me in London. He wants to spent some time with College Son before he goes to South Africa on Saturday. They left after supper to go to the marina to spend the night with my parents (who have a sailboat and are planning on sailing south this fall)

Everything is happening all at once!!!

    BUT

It doesn't matter 'cause they want to buy it!!!!!

    They LOVE it!

He's pre-approved for more than the amount we are asking. She wants my piano! (she plays) and I offered to leave the kids' books and girl toys and curtains. They have two girls (3 and 2) She LOVED Daughter's purple room and the fenced in yard.

After we did the tour, we sat on the deck and drank wine and beer and talked details.

    We are planning on October.

I'm happy with them buying it. I like her. I like the idea that little girls will be here. I've known him since he was born (his dad lived 3 houses down from me when I was growing up (He used to tease me on the bus!). His dad goes moose hunting with my Farmer) I DON'T have to prep, paint and stage my house or put it on the market!!

OMG!! If I start packing NOW, I might be ready by then!!

    Congratulations!!

At least you have lots of time to prepare before October, that is, if you don't leave the purging and packing until Sept (hehehe).

Are you going to have to do some work on the new farmhouse?

    Thanks.

OMG! If I leave my purging till Sept, I will be swamped! And of course, with MY luck, I'll get a full time teaching job in Sept!

Yeah, I guess so. I don't really know. I've never been through it before!
I've been in the kitchen for Halloween with the kids, but that was years ago.
It was a long narrow galley kitchen
The old man will be 90 this year! His wife died 2 years ago. The house is UN insulated.

I think there will be some work to do

Well, congratulations on one of the easiest house sales in history! That will leave energy for the work to be done in the "new" house. Uninsulated? In Canada?? I didn't know such a thing even existed. That anybody survived to the ripe old age of 90in there is close to miraculous.
