So did I. I made it until 7:30 (the booth closes at 8)

Yup! I've been neglecting reading and posting on everyone's journals

Half an hour of treats is definitely better than four hours of treats!
Beautiful water planter. That type of gardening really appeals to me. (In my mind. I am horrible at actually DOING gardening.)
YOU will be the best applicant.

    Wednesday

Today was my sister's birthday (2 years younger than me) so we took her out shopping for the day.
There were 5 of us. The "newest" member of our group has only been with us for 15 years
We shopped, (I bought a blouse and a skirt and a scarf - in case I get an interview - although none of them "go" together ) we ate mall food for lunch ('cause the licensed restaurant was closed) I had chicken Schwarama and salad. We shared a Lindt Sea Salt chocolate bar, shoped some more and then at 2 we went to Jack Astor's patio and had a couple of beverages

We were home in time to go to the booth. I stopped at home first and picked up cucumber, feta, red wine vinegar, a pork chop, mushrooms and strawberries (instead of booth food) I used tomato and Vidalia onion from the booth in my Greek salad, and fried the mushrooms and pork chop. My sister left at 6:30 to go to her daughter's school concert. I stayed and cooked Cheese Burgers and fries and scooped ice cream cones.

I made it till 7:30 before I had gummy worms and ice cream.
BUT I had NO fries or onion rings!

Here's a photo of the kitties. Kiya is on the left and Orbie is on the right.

Thanks, I was pleased with it. I am a horrible gardener too

Thank you. I will be one of many.

    Thursday

I thought I was going for a 10K walk with my sister and my friend this morning, but it didn't happen.
I emailed my resumes for the two teaching positions.
    Now I wait.

I packed up my winter clothes and put them in an old suitcase.
I haven't dug out my summer stuff yet.

I bought a red pepper uptown today. I know why I don't eat them like apples. ONE red pepper cost me $2.39!!!!

Lunch: a 1/2 tin of tuna (Kiya and Orbie got the other half) with cucumber, onion and balsamic vinegar.
    Red wine before supper
Supper: BBQ chicken breast, fried mushrooms, a few hash browns, and a cucumber/tomato/onion/red pepper/feta/red wine vinegar salad. Cherries for dessert.

College Son is going to South Africa next Saturday.
    For 6 weeks!
He's going with 2 schoolmates through a volunteer organization.
    Teaching children to surf.
    Really

So we are organizing all the little details.
Money: $100 Canadian = $693 South African Rand
Bank: notify about VISA and bank card usage so they don't freeze his account
Travel Insurance: not yet, comparing companies, but necessary
SD Cards: one 32GB for his Go Pro helmet cam, a couple 4GB for his "regular" camera - I may get him more
Cell Phone: investigating options. He doesn't really want to take his iPhone4S. He might just buy a cheap "pay as you go" in SA
Health concerns: we have an appointment with the Travel Health Clinic on Monday, to see what he might need

    It's coming FAST

I wasn't at the booth today and the overwhelming desire to eat junk...was absent

The booth is an evil place

    KITTEZ!!!!!!

I adore cats! They adore me! My immune system though...

Picture me struggling for breath with my eyes swollen shut and scratching at myself with anything sharp.

It makes me sad - I love cats and yours are beautiful!
