    "Is it truly weight we should be concerned with or should it be what we eat?" Haub asked in an interview with AOL News. "If we lose weight, this diet should be viewed as healthy."

    Huh? That's this guy's definition of healthy? I don't care what his credentials are, that sounds pretty stupid to me.

    Seems to me the guy is just trying to throw a big wrench at CW just to see what happens.

    Looks like he is eating in a caloric deficit... so yeah he will lose weight for the month... not sure what he is trying to prove though.... that you can gain/lose weight by overeating/undereating both healthy/unhealthy foods? Duh.
    Starting weight, June 10, 2010: 213 pounds
    Current weight, October 31, 2010: 177 pounds
    Goal: Happiness, Health, Hotness

    Screw "moderation"!!

    That's his point. He's trying to prove that all the "health food" out there that helps you lose weight is actually not healthy at all. Before I found PB I used to eat tons of those Lean Cuisine frozen meals. I always thought they were "healthy". But now that I look back on it- they were terribly unhealthy! That's his point. Just because it helps you lose weight doesn't mean it's healthy. He's trying to prove that to his students.

    Weird.....so he's eating nothing but junk food for a month,and in 36 hours has already shown increased blood pressure among other things?

    Sounds a lot like the guy in the Super Size Me movie....

    He's making an interesting point with this demonstration, but my inner pessimist suspects that that point will be totally diluted by frequent reactions along these lines:

    • "Hey so I can lose weight eating just junk food! Woot!"
    • "So basically my food choices don't matter."
    • "How I'm eating now is better than that, therefore it's fine."
    • etc...
    "Trust me, you will soon enter a magical land full of delicious steakflowers, with butterbacons fluttering around over the extremely rompable grass and hillsides."

    The way they pulled this quote totally out of context didn't help comprehension: "If we lose weight, this diet should be viewed as healthy."

    Yes, "viewed" as healthy, but he is not necessarily saying it is healthy.
