    More crockpot creations... pork stew?

    Shop Now
So my fiancee thinks I'm nuts for designing my own meals in the crock pot, but I've really enjoyed it, and the taste is out of this world! The latest

    Two pork chops, bone in.
    One sweet potato
    One onion
    Pepper
    salt
    Franks Red Hot
    A cup of water
    Some other seasonings???

I put it all in the crockpot and let it cook for a while. I then took the pork out, shredded it, and put it back in for like an hour, stirring a few times. It came out very much like beef stew but with sweet potatoes and pork instead of carrots and beef. I worked my way through half of it almost immediately... the rest for lunch today

hmmm...sounds good. You might get a better taste and shred on the pork if you use pork shoulder (or boston butt). I slow cook a lot, prefer the smoker though, and it's a great cut of meat to cook really slow. the taste is excellent and it's what I use for my pulled pork.
