Primal Chocolate Fondue (far simpler, easier than expected!)
My husband and I made chocolate fondue last night, and it was surprisingly easier than I expected.
I just heated up 1/2 cup coconut milk over low flame, stirred in 4 oz. of 70% cocoa chocolate chunks, and dipped fruit in after it was completely blended!
I got the recipe off of Paula Deen's site, but she used heavy whipping cream and I subbed coconut milk. I couldn't believe one of my favorite treats was so easy to convert to primal eating!
My husband and I shared a couple strawberries and one banana with the mixture, and had some chocolate left over. I put almond butter in one bit of it to try, and I liked it immensely with the banan chunks. Also--for those who do not care for coconut flavor, I couldn't taste the coconut in the fondue at all!
If you're looking for a simple dessert to share with non primal friends and family, or you just want to treat yourself, this is an easy way to go
