My go to is just picking a vegetable and either roasting, steaming, or sautéing it. I think some foods do go together (steak and sweet potatoes are a love of mine but most of the time I just select whatever we're in the mood for! My husband and I are particularly fond of

Satueed zucchini or yellow squash with butter, salt, basil/oregano (together is not my thing though)
Steamed broccoli with lemon juice, salt, and butter
Baked sweet potatoes with butter and cinnamon
    Steamed carrots, salted and butter
    Steamed cauliflower

    We keep it simple

my husband grew these super long green beans and the other day I chopped them up and sauteed them in butter and curry powder and then sprinkled some coconut on right before they were done. They were great! I'd been eating them plain and I needed a change! I know that lamb and curry go well together, so I think this would work well. I'll try it next week!

One of my favourites is julienned carrots, celery and leek. Toss in some butter, add lots of cracked black pepper, tiny bit of water, turn heat down, put lid on and let steam for 5 mins.

Spinach sauteed in butter and a cubic ton of garlic. As in 3 -6 cloves per handful spinach.

I just eat meat for dinner quite often. A handy side- cool, eat it. But some yummy lamb? It can stand alone.

    Thanks guys, great ideas.

Are four or five lamb cutlets excessive for dinner? They have like 2 bites of meat on each. I would quote the weight, but that is mainly bone...it seems about right but that is how many in one tray and they rarely pack meat as single serving, so it makes me wonder...
