Yesterday's IF went quite well. I'll be adding that once in a while.

Breakfast: coconut kefir, coffee w/ heavy cream

    Snack: melon and pineapple

Lunch: fab salad w/ a touch of goat cheese and topped w/ olive oil; boiled egg

Movement: 1 mile in 20 minutes

Progress: down 3 pounds since Monday.

Well, sleep was thwarted last night by an out of control car alarm: no hope of even 5 hours. On the other hand, the walk went quite well.

Tomorrow morning I do my weekly strength training and tonight, I plan to sleep well.

    weekend update:

I did 8 minutes of intense strength training Saturday morning: a 4x10 circuit of

    - countertop push ups

    - kettlebell swings

    - lat work using a green band

    - rear delt work using a green band

Sunday morning, when I woke up, I was quite sore in the shoulders and Monday morning, I was quite sore in the legs, so I'll consider this workout a success.

Walks continue as planned, but next week I'm on vacation and I'll need some diligence to make it happen.

morning walks continue and I'm nearly ready for another strength training session.

sleep is still an issue: I've too many entertaining distractions...

It's been forever since I posted in here: so, here's a in-a-few-words update
    - sleep is still a problem but the Android app, Sleep Bot, is helping me get a handle on it.
    - The doc is very concerned about my cholesterol numbers. While the total is very high, it alone does not bother me; the ratios do bother me, so I'm working on underlying issues like stress, clean eating, and sleep.
    - Strength training and walking have shrunk to very minimal. Working on this as well, though I am currently hindered a bit by a bum left knee.
    - Weight went back up about 15 pounds: dang it!

    Plan
    - Sleep at least 7 hours a night.
    - Walk at least 30 minutes, 6 days a week.
    - Do some strength movement any day I'm not sore.
    - Focus on ruminants, fish, eggs, and veges.
    - Work on relaxing!

    - Sleep Bot is helping me manage my sleep: I am officially averaging a bit under 7 hours a night.
    - Walking is up to at least 30 minutes six days per week (on Sunday I play guitar for at least 90 minutes! no walking workout required)
    - It's not big, but I lost a pound since last week: progress is progress!

I am still working the plan (clean eating has been compromised a bit, but I'm getting there). Body weight training has not yet started.

    - Still averaging 7 hours a night, with a few glitches.
    - Walking is going well, though the arthritis in my knee has flared up, so it's day by day. My BodyMedia data gathering has informed me that my Sunday guitar playing is not as intense as I'd assumed, so something needs to be done that day.
    - I've started a micro-piece of the leptin reset by eating 50g or protein with in 20 minutes of rising (I add 2 scoops of whey isolate to my coffee...it's 5 am...it's all I can handle) and by greatly reducing snacking. Weekdays are easier, but it's all a work in progress.
    - No official weigh in or measuring this week. Maybe next week.

    - Walked a straight mile on Saturday and the bad knee barely swelled! yay.
    - For Leptin Reset, I reduced whey to 1 scoop and added a hunk of meat. Definitely fuller in the morning.
    - I lost a whole pound and the skin on my face is feeling thinner (a bellwether for me).
