You may want to have your blood sugar tested. Diabetes can make you feel like you are absolutely starving, and can make feeling hypoglycemic VERY relative, no matter how much you eat and how high your blood sugar actually is. Changing from sugar and grains to mostly fat and moderate protein can be a very real, physical shock.

If a person is diabetic, Primal is the way to go (IMO)--but one should know, and have a doctor that knows. Conventional? Yup. But very practical. There may be conventional interventions that are necessary and that can help a person get where she needs to be.
