Bowhunting is just around the corner........

Dug out the bow the other day, the first 9 arrows of this year's practice season were in the bullseye at 25 yds. Can't wait to harvest venison in a few more months, meanwhile I will be enjoying the practice sessions. Anyone else getting ready?

My bowhunting role consists of cleaning out the freezer.....used up a 3lb elk roast for jerky this week, a sheep roast in a stir fry dish, and pheasant in a failed crockpot dish. Oh, and being patient while the DH is constantly tuned into a hunting show, magazine, or forum. That's about it for me.

The DH on the other hand has been in the yard every night practicing. Tick tock tick tock.

    Just another year around here

I failed to put in for this year's hunts and I don't have the $$$ to fork over for a private land permit. Next year! Gives me lots of time to practice.

One more month and then I'll be hunting Grouse & Fall Turkey though!
