Primal Coconut Bread Recipe
I found this great recipe for bread made out of coconut flour and thought I would pass it along. This is great for when you're really craving bread, toast, etc.
3/4 cup coconut flour
1/4 cup almond flour
1/2 cup butter, melted
1/2 tsp. salt
1-2 Tbsp. raw honey
1Tbsp. baking powder
Preheat over to 350 degrees. Mix all ingredients until smooth and well combined. Pour into a loaf pan that has been greased with butter. Bake for 45 minutes or until golden brown on top.
Note: This bread doesn't really rise much, so expect a fairly dense finished product.
Also, I tried making this bread without the honey and it doesn't taste very good, so add a minimum of 1 tbsp. if you're really cutting down on carbs.
