    Thai Larb without rice powder?

    Primal Fuel
Has anyone had luck making larb without toasted rice powder? I have not made larb since eating primal and was thinking of it this week...

Love larb, never tried to make it, but I imagine a primal version would be super easy (relative to the rest of Thai cooking, which appears to be very complex). Good luck.

I make a version of this all the time w/o toasted rice before being primal, it was too much hassle . The rice is to add a nutty taste, so you may want to substitute finely ground toasted nuts, like almonds. The key to good larb is the fresh herbs.

I was worried about losing that nutty taste, it didn't even occur to me - USE NUTS! Thanks for the suggestion, I'll try that...and yes, fresh herbs are essential.
