Sounds like a plan. Good sleep is so foundationally important. It's an absolutely requirement.I have a huge sleep debt to pay and can't get more than 2-4 hours of sleep. I wake up during those 2-4 hours as well.
I've tried all the natural supplements to failure and am going to the doc today to get something to put me out at night - at least for awhile until I can establish a good pattern and then back off them.
I've had adrenal issues at times but I was able to workout those issues (irt sleep) with b5, C, magnesium and herbs.
Recently though, while adapting to LC, I didn't sleep for about two months aside from 2-4h per night, often with wakings as you mentioned. I thought I would die. Even ambien didn't help. Nothing did.
Then I did a carb refeed (or basically a weekend of sangria and lemon cake...lol) and after that, the sleep issues resolved.
I'm sure you've done all the other things like blackout curtains, a mask, earplugs, no screens 2h prior to bed etc etc.
Take the meds and don't look back.
