Yummy Pear Dessert!!!!
1/3 C. Fresh Blue Berries
1 Tbs. Honey
1/2 Tbs. Balsamic Vinegar
1-2 Tbs. Water
1 Tbs Dairy Free Butter
Cut pear in half, scoop core out with spoon. In small saucepan on medium heat add blue berries and water, as mixture warms use a spoon to squish blue berries. In frying pan melt butter on medium low heat. Place pears flesh side down. Cook for 3-4 min. then put lid on pan, cook on low for 10-15 min. until cooked through. As Blue berries begin to cook down add vinegar and honey, stir. Sauce should simmer (stirring regularly) for about 8 minutes.
Place pear on plate, spoon blue berry sauce over. Garnish with a few fresh blue berries or a little sprinkle of goat cheese.
What is "dairy free butter"???
Are you cooking the pear in the pan with the blueberries?
I cook them in different pans. The blueberries in a saucepan, and the pears in a frying pan.
For me, dairy free butter is like clarified butter, where the butter is melted and then the top is skimmed off leaving only the fat component.
