Salmon - just like the feast in the Kalevala. ;-)

Except that you didn't drink yourself under the table.

    @mick - not yet

husband is coming home from our cottage up in lapland (hes been building there for a week while i have to work) n besides the salmon he is also bringing the sauna shampagne

but even im not an accustomed drinker a glass or two of brut wont probably get me under the table.

been reassessing my goals and the one about losing 4 lbs sounds stupid to me now seeing that i havent accquired a scale and am not interested in my weight. so the new goal:

    * lose 2% fat n maybe see my lower abs again- long time no see

@Eva: Everytime you mention Lapland, I become nostalgic. We used to subscribe to this children's magazine from Russia when I was a kid and there'd be stories from Lapland featured in the magazine. I'm reminded of those stories now and want to visit the place!

@maba: you definately should. its such a powerful place and my soul rests there. If you ever should make it happen id love to help

Days 6 and 7: weekend is always tougher to keep 100% primal and especially when there is visiting and visitors involved- so i had to make a few conscious giveins- so it was more like 80/20 this weekend

    eats were:

    day6-

BF- cottagecheese with berries, a boiled egg and some salmon and cucumber.

    skipped lunch

D- smoked seaperch, 1 potatoe, chantarells fried with onions and garlic, cucumbers, springonions and a little bit of greek yoghurt

    a glass of shampagne

    a glass of wine

    2 bits of 85% chocolate

    day 7-

BF-primal pancake (proteinpowder, coconut flour, egg) with blueberries

L- grilled meats (turkey, beef, raw pork saussages), salad

mixed berrie salad with a sponfull of whipped cream

a half bottle of beer (shared with MIL)

D- bloodpudding, an apple, some cucumberslices

a leftover primal pancake from morning with blueberries

so lots of food and too much dairy!!!

    So today is day 8-

    IF untill dinner

50 km of cycling to get home from work

D- salad and some fish (whatever is fresh and wild in the shop today)

    berries with coconut cream

Ooh good luck with the raspberries, I found a patch one day near work, and went back the next day and all the ripe berries were picked. I think birds got to them though

Oh and how was the texture of your ice cream?? I made coconut milk and strawberry ice cream last week, with 2 teaspoons of pure vanilla extract (just those 3 ingredients), and it turned hard as a rock in the freezer. I had to let it basically melt again and put it in individual containers so that they could be microwaved and eaten! It tastes good, it's just very inconvenient. That and I'd never be able to serve it to guests! Did you do anything differently or add any other ingredients?

Eva, I read on another thread that you like knitting. Or you on ravelry.com by any chance? I crochet and am a beginner knitter. Ravelry has a HUGE collection of free patterns, it's a great site.

Hey maba you are reading my mind today! I am going to start knitting very soon, I've decided I'd like to try it as a hobby. Making baby blankets for shelters and hats for cancer patients (there are charities for both of them!). I'll have to look there too, thank you
