    Minimalistic sandals for men?

I know, sandals are generally already fairly minimalistic.

What I mean though is that most now days have big high tech hard rubber soles or made out of stiff plastic.

I'm looking for leather top sandals for men with a strap or heel cover on the back to keep them from flopping and of course a thin flexible/minimalistic sole (sole does not have to leather though). Also do not care for those that require some part to fit between the toes.

    Any suggestions?

If you're looking for any kind of fancy, these won't do, but http://www.invisibleshoe.com/ is about as minimal as you can get.

Yes those are ok except that they have the rope between the toes.

with any sort of huarache you can change the tie pattern to be whatever you want... ...

in this case you don't have to have it go between your toe, but if you are using a minimalist sole than if you don't have that toe bit it will flop around a bit.. .

I went with the kit from www.barefootted.com with the vibrams cherry sole...

It was very irritating at first, but I don't even notice it anymore. One note: I usually wear them with injinji toe socks.

Thanks for the suggestions. The idea of a kit sounds interesting and inexpensive enough I guess.

If you want even more inexpensive, watch his videos, noting the materials used, and find them from cheaper sources. You need not have his kit to make the shoes and the instructional videos are quite thorough.

Those are the ugliest shoes I have ever seen. It's like someone got bored half-way through the process of building ballet shoes.
