    question on gaining

    Primal Fuel
well....seeing as i am gaining... scale says i have 16% bf so by and by i prolly have closer to 19 so i think i can start lifting again. my question is when youre gaining weight(as a good thing)what is the ratio of fat gain to muscle gain? im pretty sure you cant gain muscle without some attached fat especially as a girl with hormones and all.

    does anyone know?

I think there are alot of variable like stress levels, protein/calorie intake, stuff like that. I wouldnt know where to start.

Why do you think your BF is higher than what your scale says?

Depends on your diet, overall caloric intake, food partitioning and workout schedule. I would hope that an increase of around a 2:1 ratio of muscle to fat to be a good result. 2 lbs a month would probably be the ceiling for actually muscle fiber gain, and in a woman that would be an accomplishment I would think. This is also interesting. http://jcem.endojournals.org/cgi/con...ull/83/12/4382
