    Little bits of wisdom.....

    Primal Blueprint Expert Certification
I thought I'd start this thread to gather together people's little bits of experience and wisdom about paleo/primal living that might not be important enough for more serious threads!

For what it's worth, here's my start.

    Clear drains more regularly
Switching to a primal way of eating will often mean that you increase your fat intake. Your appliances, sinks and pipes will therefore have more fat running down them (even if you are conscientious about scraping left over oil/fat into the appropriate bin) and can solidify and block drains. Since going paleo, I've started to put, weekly, 500g of soda crystals down the sinks followed by a kettle full of boiling water to avoid drains being blocked by solidified fat.

Any other tips anyone else might have that would save time/money/ etc would be greatly appreciated.

Learn how to correctly use a crock pot and a pressure cooker

If you're in the store, staring at a package of something, wondering if the ingredients are paleo, put it back and walk away.

Learn how to make sauces and dressings, they help a lot.

We tend to debate a lot of minutiae and "hacks" around here, while new-to-primal people need to get the big pieces of the puzzle put in place first. It's actually good advice.
