Which fat supplement should I get?

    Primal Fuel
Hi I'm looking to buy some fat supplements but would like some guidance on which type to get.
Would omega 3 capsules be a good choice ?

    This is a hot topic.

I would recommend avoiding omega-3 fatty acids. All polyunsaturated fats are toxic.

I think it's better to get your fats from whole foods. Especially polyunsaturated fats like omega-3s. They are fragile fats and are prone to oxidation when they are extracted from their whole food packages. Here is a good Chris Kresser article:

If you feel the need to supplement, Green Pastures Fermented Cod Liver Oil seems to be pretty widely touted as being the best:

    Butter
Disclaimer: I eat 'meat and vegetables' ala Primal, although I don't agree with the carb curve. I like Perfect Health Diet and WAPF Lactofermentation a lot.

I had some lovely butter this morning as I cooked fresh bacon and eggs from my local butchers. Delicious!

If you're going to supplement omega 3s, I use Vital Choice Wild Sockeye Salmon oil. But it's better and more utilitarian to just eat the wild Sockeye itself
