    Hi all,

I recently wrote a piece on how Stoicism helped me get over some health and fitness OCD. The conclusion has a strong primal undercurrent so I think it should resonant with the gang here.

Let me know what you think.

I agree that Seneca has a lot of applicable lessons.

Personally, I like Epicurus a bit more.

“Do not spoil what you have by desiring what you have not; remember that what you now have was once among the things you only hoped for.”

“He who is not satisfied with a little, is satisfied with nothing .”

“It is better for you to be free of fear lying upon a pallet, than to have a golden couch and a rich table and be full of trouble.”

Stoicism is for people trapped by circumstances, but it’s just a surrogate way to freedom! Cynicism is the real deal though, give away your belongings and start living in a barrel…
"All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident."

    - Schopenhauer
