When I went low carb several years ago, I dropped inches in the area around my chest just below the breasts. This caused me to go from an ill fitting 36B to a much better fitting 34C (and 2 drops in dress size). I don't think my breasts grew, but being able to get the strap narrower allowed for a higher cup size. Also, if you are starting weights or pushups, this will firm up pectoral muscles underneath the breasts (breasts sadly are non-muscular).

But yeah, primal does impact hormones. In particular, if you were sensitive to grains or didn't eat much red meat before, the differences are more noticeable.

Cholesterol is the basis for sex hormones. Primal typically means increased cholesterol intake, (which is NOT a bad thing) and that means that rather than using what cholesterol the body can produce from carbohydrates for repairs, it has some left over for hormone production.

Or least, that's my theory. I'm always ready to be proven wrong. :-D

This is actually a good point. And there is some weak evidence that progesterone (cholesterol->pregnenolone->progesterone) can increase glandular tissue in breasts though it's wrt breastfeeding moms who have insufficient glandular tissue and low supply because of that.

Goat's rue is known to increase breast size as well - though in most the effect is exceptionally modest.

That makes perfect sense, since one of the signs of progesterone EXCESS is exceptionally large breasts.

Egoldstein- losing fat around my ribcage area could have something to do with it. But when I say my breasts are getting bigger, I mean like growing. They're tender like during puberty.

Interesting bit of info Eklecktika, thanks. Obviously I'm not concerned about my changes, I'm just curious as to the why; I know women fluctuate over time but this instance, for me, was/is more pronounced than previous episodes. Thanks to you too cillakat.

Pardon me while I ramble. I tried to explain what I mean to a friend the other day and well ... no ... didn't come out right.

Insulin is a hormone, right? Almost anybody will agree that what you eat effects your insulin levels. It's not much of a leap to believe that some hormones effect other hormones which effect other hormones. Then I wasn't sure what to say after that ...
