According to Spencer Wells in Pandora's Seed, life expectancy only increased significantly during the 20th century due to vaccinations. Up until then life expectancy was actually shorter by a couple years once the transition to the Neolithic lifestyle was complete. .

I'm still not convinced. These are all assumptions which are taken as a dogma.

Well then why not assume the best?
Retirement has afforded me the ultimate affluence, that of free time (Sahlins/Wells)

This doesn't make any sense. You restrict yourself of all sorts of delicious foods, based on optimism?
This here is nothing but a cult, a religion. Flawed in all sorts of ways.
    I'm out of here.

Actually I restrict myself of formerly delicious foods because I tried to for a few months (mainly cutting out grains) and had impressive health improvements and want to get even healthier. Also, I read the book Pure White and Deadly that convinced me sugar was bad news. I also read a meta analysis that convinced me saturated fat was not the demon it was made out to be.

It seems your goal is to have a very long life. I'm not sure whether or not Primal living offers you the best chance of it. It does offer you the best quality of life and the healthiest way of life. Personally I consider quality of life more important than just living long, but then again everyone has their own goal.

Also, you could try reading this paper:

Always the fucking same. If you can't defend yourself, the other one is a troll. Pathetic.

I do believe in healthy food and a healthy lifestyle and so one. But saying paleo is the ultimate healthy lifestyle is beyond my imagination.
