    Bacon Party!!!

    Primal Fuel
I'm having a bacon party this evening. Pretty much everything we're cooking/serving will have bacon incorporated in some way. But i need a desert. i'll have fruit salad, but i don't think i want to add bacon to it.

anybody know of any desserts that have bacon in them?

One of the restaurants near me serves chocolate covered bacon as a dessert. I have never had the courage to try it, but get some seriously dark chocolate and melt it down, drop pieces of bacon in, and that's what they serve. Can't vouch for the flavor, but it is definitely 'dessert'. If you try that, you have to let me know how it works out for you.

i agree with this... get dark cocoa crush it up, melt it down... get some almond butter, slather the bacon in it and and then pour melted hot chocolate on the bacon, let cool and then GORGE! Cuz it's awesome!

Or try it without the peanut butter

I've never seen anything like this, but I'm imagining a trifle, with a primal-ish cake cut up into chunks, pieces of candied bacon (I like Emeril's recipe with cayenne pepper in it), dark chocolate chunks, nuts (I'd use pecans), and freshly whipped cream.

I've been meaning to make these forever: Bacon Marshmallows Definitely not primal, but they just sound SO GOOD.

You can add bacon to any chocolate cupcake recipe and I think it would be great - I'm sure Elena's Pantry has a lot of almond flour cupcake recipes that would work.

Vosges chocolates does a chocolate bacon bar. Someone brought some over once for all of us to try. (It was ok, too sweet for me). You might try a coconut milk maple syrup ice cream and serve crisped bacon slices to dip.

I loved Vosges, but now it's too sweet (someday I'll hack the idea into a less sweet version). On the other hand, that ice cream with bacon dippers sounds amazing!
Started PB late 2008, lost 50 lbs by late 2009. Have been plateaued, but that thing may just be biting the dust: more on that later.

Ok - we are going to get the food porn, right? Violence will most likely ensure if not. I'm just saying.
