    Cool Blood Test

    Primal Fuel
Hey guys, just got my blood test results:

    Glucose: 86 mg/dL
    Glycolized Haemoglobin (HbA1c): 5.1%
    Basal Insulin: 3.3 µU/mL

    Ultra-Sensitive C-reactive protein (HS-CRP): 0.1 mg/L

    Total Cholesterol: 202 mg/dL
    HDL: 61 mg/dL
    LDL: 129 mg/dL
    TRIGS: 59 mg/dL
    Lp (a): 14.2 mg/dL

    Ratios:

    Total /HDL: 3.3
    TRIG/HDL: 0.96
    LDL/HDL: 2.11

Calculating LDL with the Iranian Equation:

    (Total/1.19) + (Trig/1.9) - (HDL/1.1) -38 = LDL
    (202/1.19) + (59/1.9) - (61/1.1) - 38 = LDL

    "Iranian" LDL = 218.25 mg/dL

I've been strict primal for around two years, except for the occasional dairy/nuts binges. My typical diet is VLC (10-30g approx), where Saturated/Mono-unsaturated fat accounts for 75-80% of the total calories. I am generally an obscene glutton.

Seems we are on the right path folks

    Yes, sorry. Edited accordingly.

    Test says ideal = <0.5
    Do you disagree?

No that's really good. I suppose that's the kind of level of non-pwning oneself with one's own immune system that a diet of mostly meat and good fat affords.

    Correction:

My "Iranian" LDL should be: 106.54 mg/dL. Copy/pasted the wrong number.

That's the lowest crp I've ever seen. What a banner day....both the highest and the lowest on which I've laid my eyes. LOL.
