    The spring of Fat destruction

    Shop Now
    Dear all
Hello I am new. Today is the beginning of my 21day transformation. I am not alone on my journey as my husband is having a go too. I plan to lose 22 pounds and Rob plans to lose about 3 stones. like many, the weight has crept up over the years and we spend too much time on the sofa drinking wine and eating cakes! My plan for today is as follows:

Breakfast: omelette with mushrooms cooked with butter, cottage cheese and berries.

Lunch:chicken salad with chicken breast, cucumber, tomatoes, grated carrot, bell pepper and herbs with olive oil

Dinner: 1 medium sized sirloin with asparagus and mushrooms

Snacks on hand if I am hungry are boiled eggs, chicken drumsticks and almonds.

I put the day into fit day and the calories are about 1600, the carbs are about 50g so we will see how it goes. I am not planning to weigh everything etc but I logged it to get an idea of the macros.

We are going to attempt to play tennis today for an hour.

Hello Nic! Good luck on your Primal path! I've recently been working through the 21-day transformation challenges too and look forward to seeing how you and Rob get on. Your meal plan sounds very balanced and tasty. And extra points for starting on a Bank Holiday weekend, a time when many (including me) would struggle!

Thanks pine needles. Yesterday we stuck to it exactly and had a really good day. We managed to play tennis but I am sure we looked a bit like dumb and dumber running about. Anyhow today's food is as follows:
Breakfast: omelette and some frozen berries
Lunch: same chicken salad as yesterday
Dinner: primal beef stew (recipe from the daily apple website)
Yesterday I hardly had any hunger between meals- I think I just had a boiled egg and that's about it. Rob went through the chicken drumsticks a bit but at least he wasn't complaining about giving up his weetabix !

We'll today is the beginning of day 3 and so far I have lost 2lb. I know I ought not to be weighing in so early into the 21 days but I am just hoping to see the numbers going in the right direction, which they are. At least this just spurs me on too. I had an odd taste in my mouth on days 1 and 2 but it's gone now. Might that be due to my carbs being less than 50g?

Well it is nearing the end of day 3 now and food today has been as follows:
breakfast: Omelette with some organic smoked salmon (not sure if this is allowed but it is a one off)
lunch: the usual chicken salad with tomatoes, cucumber, carrot and herbs with olive oil
dinner: cod with mushrooms and asparagus
snacks: I have had an orange and an avocado. Not desperately hungry today.
Energy level has been fine and I did 45 mins steady state cv at 75% heart rate and it was nice not to feel too knackered!
