    Your web hosting provider?

    Shop Now
I apologize for the possible off-topic. Guys, could you tell me which web hosting company you are using at the moment? I have a problem because my current web hosting company hostrator.com is kicking me off. They say that our website is using too many server resources. But our website only gets 300 visitors per day..

Anyway, what would be your recommendations? Are you happy with your web hosting providers?

I am checking http://www.hosting24.com/ at the moment, but is it real that they can provide unlimited disk space?
I have contacted them and they say something like "1000GB disk drive costs only $30 per month, so if some day we will start running out of disk space we will simply add a new 1000GB drive so can continue uploading..".

What do you think about it? Any ideas and web hosting company name suggestions are much appreciated.

I'm using heroku and absolutely love it. I also hear great things about slicehost.

I know people who use fatcow for a small website (very little traffic) and they have been happy so far (about a year, maybe), but I don't have personal experience with them.

they're kicking you off for getting 300 hits a day?! Wow. I use http://www.discountasp.net/ which, obviously, focuses mainly on ASP.NET sites. I've hosted some sites on http://www.doteasy.com/ which I recall had some pretty nice tools included, but I also recall it was a bit slow and only offered PHP support. You can probably bump up your hosting for something faster though.

In any case, DiscountAsp.Net has been great if that's a platform you're looking for.

I have Lithium Hosting (3 websites under one plan, too) and I pay $10/year. https://www.lithiumhosting.com/
    Really great customer service.

I get 1500MB space and 30gb bandwidth though

There is no such thing as "unlimited" anything. It really depends on the resources you use, as to how fast you will reach that no longer unlimited threshold. What type of site are you running? How many files are you hosting? Some decent, lower cost providers, that should easily handle 300+ visits a day are:

    www.bluehost.com
    www.ipage.com
    www.hostmonster.com

For most people, I recommend BlueHost, because they have a nice integrated script management tool called SimpleScript - it allows easy intallation and updates of common scripts like Wordpress and Joomla. If you really are dealing with resource intensive sites, you may want to look at a Virtual Private Server. I use www.knownhost.com and they have a great managed VPS plan, but it sounds like way more than you should need.

You can also do some Googling to check reviews. Or try:

    http://webhostinggeeks.com/

There may be something wrong with your site (virus, hacker, malware, etc.) that is consuming tons of resources?

Do you mean "Hostgator?" If so, I'm really surprised. Granted, I get very little traffic on my sites, so it's not like I"m melting the fiber optics.

I've been with them since they were a small company and have been very, very happy with them. Hardly anything ever comes up and the CS is excellent....and here in the states.
