Another Intermittent fasting question
So on Monday I ate a hardboiled egg at 2pm. Monday night I had a spoon of salsa and Tuesday I had maybe an oz of homemade sausage. Finally ate at 9AM Wednesday (1/2 avacodo stuffed with homemade Italian and Andoule sausage).
I was trying to fast for 36hrs starting at 2PM Monday. My question is since I had a spoon of salsa and an oz of sausage can I still consider that a fast? and will I achieve the same benefits. Its hard to prepare food for others and myself and not taste to make sure I got it right.
I think any calories break the fast,

Protein is the most powerful lever for the fed state so possibly. Of course the body impact will occur with or without our definitions.
The best fasting compromise I've found is pickled bell pepper--sodium, potassium, and vitC with no energy.

Oh I normally eat when hungry.
I don't know what your objectives for the fast were. But you could have caused very little difference in any metabolic function.
