    I eat the green leaves of the plant and I cannot see why it should not be BP?

    Amaranth--as in the *grain* (what you'll find in packaged cereals, breads, or whole for use in cooking/baking) is NOT on the PB--it is a grain. If eaten as a plant (which I've never done/seen) I'd think it would be more ok--like eating veggies.
