    Cream Cakes!

    Primal Fuel
My favorite breakfast dish is currently cream cakes. They are a pancake alternative. It's more like a quiche than a pancake though. I can't claim them as my own. I got them out of a book. I've added a few things to them to give them a better taste.

    3 Eggs
1/2 cup of heavy whipping cream

Mix together like you would scrambled eggs. Make sure the bottom is fully done before you flip or they may tear. Cook them in your favorite oil or butter.

I've added cinnamon and/or a small amount of vanilla extract.
I top them with butter and/or Cary's sugar free syrup.

This sounds delicious. Ive been looking for an alternative to pancakes that didnt involve any type of flour (i still like to keep my coconut/almond flour to a minimum even though its allowed)..even if it tastes more like a quiche it should still be awesome..thanks for the recipe, im definitely going to try this!

No problem! Enjoy! I made them this morning and they certainly do hit the spot when you get a pancake craving. Once you try them let me know what you think!

Is coconut milk too thin for this? I try to limit my heavy cream to coffee or splashed on berries, but I'd be willing to give this a try too if coconut milk doesn't work that great.

That's a good question. I've never tried it with coconut milk or any other milk. I guess it would be more of a scrambled egg consistency, which in my opinion would be alright as long as it taste good!

You can also try this combination.....wrap it around a breakfast sausage (yum)

    2 eggs
    3 oz cream cheese (softened)
    cinamon, butter, etc.....

This sounds great. I've been making plain 2 egg omelette but filling it with cream cheese and jam. It sounds weird but it works if you want a sweet breakfast.

Ah..I tried this this morning..and they were really good! they definitely were more egg-y then pancakes (which is totally understandable without any type of flour) but they were still fantastic! Im definitely going to make thm again when I feel like having a sweet type of breakfast!

Rivvin - coconut milk would probably work..its got that same thick consistancy...maybe try 1/4 cup heavy cream and 1/4 cup coconut milk the first time to see?

Looking good. Coconut would simply make the batter shown in the clafouti recipe! and yes would work if its thick
