    Smile Improved A1C

    Primal Fuel
I have been eating primal for six months and in that time have gone from an A1C of 5.7 in September, 2013 to 5.1 in March, 2014.

It seems that 5.7 isn't really bad in the first place, but congrats!

Same here-congratulations! Straight primal? Anything else you've changed? Good luck.

A year ago my A1c was 8.1. On 23 April this year it was also 8.1. Doctor said 'you need to go on tablets'. I said 'no way - what are my options?' He said the only other option was a lifestyle change. I asked him to explain. All I got from him were three little words: No Starch. Paleo. 44 days later I'm 9 kgs lighter, LOVING the paleo life and hoping like hell that my A1c is heading south. I won't be able to give an update on that until late July, so I'll keep you posted.

    congrats excellent control
When I'd had enough of the grain and starched based 'diabetic eating for health' diet (eating for health, my ass!) my weight was 242.5 lbs. On starting primal- 18th April 2013 weight : 238.1.
    27th July 2013. weight after 100 days 136.9 weight lost 101.2lb ; that's 105.6lbs since I stopped the 'diabetic eating for health'
