    Visit to a Cattle Feedlot

Interesting article, pretty neutral considering it's written by a vegetarian.

    Thanks dragonmamma,

I've mentioned more than once that folks should visit a feedlot to balance the hype of the food scare movement.

A few years ago there were feral cattle in the jungles on the Big Island of Hawaii. They were very lean, alert and quick. They cracked me up. Escaped cows getting fit living off the land. One ranch allowed hunters access, but my trip was over by the time I found out. I would just love to say I hunted a cow in a jungle. So disappointed.

As someone who used to read a lot by JB and the PN crowd, I'm surprised they didn't discuss the different nutrition aspects of CAFO vs free-range meat.

Just found this article via a Peta-kills-pets site (don't ask lol), missed it first time.
Yes, I thought it pretty well balanced despite my disagreement that we can live without meat
Just about to read through the comments / responses...
