I attempted to model, as in truly shred out for photography, only once in my life. It was years ago, back when I was very poor and the idea of getting a few hundred for some pictures sounded awesome. They were for football equipment, of all things
It was the most miserable thing I have ever done, health/fitness wise. It was harder than running a full Ironman, harder than doing college football 2-A-Days, harder than prepping for Death Race.
Don't fool yourself though....it wasn't really the pure fat cutting that was awful, it was the DEHYDRATION. I literally was almost hallucinating, had a terrible headache the entire 2 days before the shoot. It was abject misery.
You don't just starve yourself. That would actually be a lot easier. You starve yourself, workout a lot while starving, then go through a 5-6 day campaign to dehydrate yourself to near the point of requiring hospitalization.
But they will look really good! You just won't remember them being taken
A woman I know that did model photos for the company Boss told me once: "If you are capable of safely driving yourself to the shoot, you didn't prepare correctly."
