new Year's eve - 10 mile hike up mountain! 5 miles up, 5 miles down...in 5.5hours. We made much better time this year! It felt awesome! Unfortunately I got a bit sick at the summit and on the way down....not fun....but incentive to get down that mountain. I had only eaten breakfast that morning and some macadamia nuts on way up.....nothing but gingerale after that....thus I weighed in at my lowest 140.8...but i knew it would be short lived once I felt better. Today 143.2...but my measurements are down a bit!

    B: IF
L: mini hot dogs (pastured, nitrate free), salad olive oil balsamic vinagrette, pork rinds, greek yogurt dip, 2 homemade mini tarts, a bit of avocado pudding, dark chocolate
D: chicken tenderloin (baked, not breaded), wild rice, green beans
    PWO: shake

feel bloated....writing down lunch makes me realize why.

    Workout:
Warmup - skaters (1 min), squat press (1 min)
Strength - shoulder press, dumbbells 10lbs each, 3x20
    shoulder extension, 1 dumbbell 10lbs 3x20
    push-ups - 15 total (had to rest)
    Cardio - Elliptical 4 min x 2
    Strength/Cardio - Tricep kickback 10lb dumbbell 2x20
    Dips - 3 attempted
BOSU hop with 8# ball overhead
    BOSu toe touches
    Stretches

    Made it!
Went to REI to spend my gift card and was so thrilled to buy size 10 pants and medium shirt....plus had to go get bra in a smaller cup size. I am excited to think that I am losing weight to keep it off now that we are done having kids. I can see my goal.....it's within reach. I took a photo at the start of the year in a bikini....this is the year of the belly....it's gonna go.

Great work Momto3 - look how tiny your waist is getting! You are so brave to take the photo in a bikini! I don't even own one. Thinking about joining the January transformation challenge and snapping a photo -

Added a LHT day today. The circuit training is more cardio based. I thought I'd use heavy dumbells, but can't wield the suckers to do a bench press. My legs and chest are much stronger than my arms. So will look into upping the level of body weight exercises.

    Squat 2x5 80# 3 min rest
Elevated pushup (feet on bosu) 2x5 3 min rest
Self assisted dips 2x5 3 min rest

We did a lot of celebrating this past weekend. ReadytoGrok's birthday and one of my son's. It was lots of fun, though a bit higher stress. Today was full of stress too, but I think I worked out a bit with a LHT workout.

Squat - 90 lbs.....I could do more if my arms could hold the weight. I did one set with dumbbells then switched to assisted pistol squats
    Elevated push-up - 2x6
    Assisted Dips 2x5

    Circuit today:
    Skater w/ 8# ball - 1 min warmup
Elevated Jack Knife Press - 2x20
    Elliptical - 2x 4 min
    Knee Pushups - 2x20
    Plank - 1 min
.25 and .5 jump turns on BOSU

Glad I did it....needed something to relieve some of the stress. Struggling mentally, emotionally and spiritually. I will focus on my many blessings. I am so deeply grateful for my husband, my children, my health, my home.

We are finally getting rain!! Which means no hiking this past weekend. Totally fine...needed to work on the house a bit. But as I think back to the weekend, there wasn't a whole lot of down time.
Anyway, this morning I did some HIIT. I am changing things once again......

For cardio training I'm going to do 18 min of HIIT on the elliptical MWF - fasted, in the morning
LHT - Bodyweight exercises Tu, Th

I would like to keep an average of 1600cal per day. And to hopefully help the acne that has flared - keep dairy to pastured butter and a little cream.
