Just read Batty's post to the grokettes. I am taking it to heart. the number on the scale is not the only thing that refelects progress or who I am.

My next goal: get into the size 12 jeans I bought....then watch those get loose.
    Do 30 knee push-ups

Maybe it's muscle gain? Do you feel more compact or more puffy?

I think a little bit of both. My tummy has been bloated for the last couple days.

I think I began hanging on to the numbers on the scale because I needed some tangible proof that this whole PB was working. I forgot to include other indicators of progress. I know my husband has commented many times he can see a difference.

I love the increased confidence and ability to play. My sister commented how much stronger I seemed while waterskiiing. The changes are coming. I so want this all to work out because i am enjoying the food so much. I have to remind myself too that I am breastfeeding and my baby's health takes priority over losing weight faster. I'm 35 right now, but I keep thinking I will be the "fittest at 40". 5 years seems like a long way off, but it also gives a long term goal so that I will keep on going.

    Eating:
B: tea with cream, turkey breast deli slices filled with cream cheese and olives
    L: BAS
    D:steak w/bacon, broccoli & butter

    Movement:
    walk with the boys
    house cleaning

    Sun:
    on walk

    Sleep:
Baby is definitely sleeping better. I had tea with coconut oil & cream before bed....so soothing. I wonder if I slept a little better because of it. I will have to try it again.

Just a guess... perhaps this post was meant for another thread somewhere?

I had a good weekend. Baby is finally healthy!! Sleep has been beautiful.
Today I sprained my big toe. Ugh!! Just what this mom of three young boys needed. Hopefully it won't take too long to heal.
I am addicted to the scale. I was up to 161.4 this morning, so I quickly tried on my goal pants and they still fit the same, so I haven't lost my progress.
Hey! I almost made my goal of 30 knee pushups. 28! That's progress!

    B: zucchini hashbrown, almond pancake
L: hot dog, beef jerky, strawberries, blueberry butter balls
    D: hamburgers, green beans
    Dessert: peaches, blueberries, cream

it's supposed to be LHT tonight. I think I will skip this evening and try to do push ups, pull ups and planks tomorrow. No sprints this week.

    Sunshine: check

    play: not so much

I guess I get to test the theory of the diet being 80%of the results. Bugger

B: 3 eggs cooked in coconut oil, handful of blueberries
L: spinach salad with salami, carrots, blueberries, balsamic vinagrette
D: 2 chicken thighs (BBQ), broccoli & butter, 2 blueberry butter balls
Snacks: 2 squares dark chocolate, macadamia nuts, almond meal crackers with cream cheese
Dessert: 1/2 peach, strawberries, blueberries, cream

    Movement:
Limping around at a very slow pace. :P The toe is improving. I can put a bit more weight on it and there is a bit more mobility.

    Sun: Nope

    Play: Nope

Sleep: It was ok. I woke up a few times from the pain, once for baby. Napped with baby today. That helped.

I guess the answer to this for yesterday was no. I didn't reinjure it today at least.

Use my mind: Nope....although I think I will follow what my hubby is doing and start up learning Spanish with the Rosetta Stone.

I know the scale is not the only indicator of progress. My measurements were the same, maybe slightly higher....just a smidge. I don't know what's going on. I am feeling frustrated. I was losing more when I was eating a bit higher carb. I don't know. Just frustrated.

Later in the morning..... I'm bloating like crazy. Didn't help that my favorite jeans seem to have shrunk in the wash.....or I am bloating real bad. What's going on? I was looking at my diet from the month that my weight kept going down and I was eating more carbs and more almond muffins..... bugger. I am trying not to panic, but it just reminds me of my grain diet and watching the weight pile on no matter what I did.

I am still nursing frequently....I don't think things are changing hormonally. I changed to fish oil from flaxseed oil. That is supposed to be better for me, right? Ugh. SO disappointing.
