i cook with cast iron, very little else. And of course if you leave water in it the rust is huge. If food is left in a cast iron pan or pot overnight, is the rust that is going to form on the food beneficial or not ???????
Oxidized iron is certainly not something you want to ingest.

I've got one : do essential oils need to be refrigerated? I'm in the desert so I don't have a "cool dark place." Opinions?

I vote yes. Maybe have an EO bin in the fridge? They have been taken away from the plant that sustained their beneficial properties, so do what you can to protect them from heat and light.

Wrapping any containers that aren't opaque in some foil is an easy way to keep out light.

    Hey,

is it somewhat mandatory to supplement magnesium? I am using Vit D and really don't like to start supplementing to much firstly because my budget tight and because once I dive into this subject it seems there's no end: take yodine, K2, etc etc. Like I understand that Vit D is essential because where I live winter could go up to 5 months but are there any other supplements that are MUST to take?

I think magnesium is very important. Its the one supplement I take religiously, have done for years. I love it!
But if I dont, ill start grinding my teeth at night, and wake up with a tense, sore jaw.
But I think everyone benefits from it, magnesium is involved in so many functions and its hard to get from food.

Interesting question, I think the fridge is a good idea. Mine are in the cupboard though at the moment.

Do you diffuse your oils in a burner? I read recently on one website, and it might only be an argument to sell their electric non-heating vaporises (can't think of the name of them, ultrasonic maybe?) But they claim that heating the oils turns them and you could in fact be inhaling toxic byproducts.
Just after id bought a salt lamp/oil burner in one lol

Id like to know the truth about this.
