Sushi? Anyone here eat it? How do you make yours?

I've been trying to add more omega 3's to my diet and I remembered that I love sushi! I did a search for other threads with information regarding Sushi and only one popped up. Needless to say i'm trying to figure out what everyones take is on eating raw fish?

I was thinking about making tuna and salmon rolls for my daily meals (obviously without the rice) but maybe bundled up with vegetable sticks if sorts for a nice added crunch.

    Anyone here eat Sushi?

    How do you prepare yours?

Hell yeah raw fish!! Rice-less maki or sashimi are super primal. Just be careful of the soy sauce. WASABI!!

Sashimi salad is one of my huge favorites. I also use cucumber sticks instead of rice. Still trying to dial in the right consistency to use cooked greens or blanched nuts.

I love sushi and consider it without a doubt my favorite food. I don't eat it daily, but I do try to eat it once a week. I eat it with the rice simple because I don't think its necessary to change something so amazingly simple and delicious.

If I ate it daily, I would simply remove the rice and replace it with cauliflower rice (which I have done before and it worked out quite well) or minced and boiled parsnips.

If that wasn't working for ya, turn it into sashimi with a side of avocado and go to town.

Sashimi baby...with wasabi. I have always preferred Sashimi over Sushi. I have never made it a home, but if I did, it would be pretty easy once I got a trusted source for the fish.

I prefer sushi over sashimi i think the taste of the fish is complemented by the texture of the vinegar rice...

I LOVE it, but am too broke right now to get the good fish

Nori hand-wraps are awesome. Also try it with broiled mackerel. It's SO good!
Btw: Tamari only has fermented soy, no wheat. I don't sweat a little bit of that now and again.

I love sushi and sashimi, local place makes it without rice for me (even my beloved california rolls), and it's SO good.

Kinda bummed that my husband has turned more to cave diving than open water - he doesn't bring home fish from the caves! Can't be a more trustworthy source than freshly speared by a family member.
