I've never had a cramp from sprinting, just that pre-cramp tightness that scares the poop out of me. I sprint five sets twice a week (lately) without trouble.

The only thing that has caused me cramps is going too fast on my bicycle. So, really, these "fears" if you will, are irrational. Yes, they are. Thanks for dragging this out of me. I can totally sprint at work. I'll carry a vial of baking soda just in case.
Steak, eggs, potatoes - fruits, nuts, berries and forage. Coconut milk and potent herbs and spices. Tea instead of coffee now and teeny amounts of kelp daily. Let's see how this does! Not really had dairy much, and gut seems better for it.

I actually want to join a team and be a real sprinter. I know I'm a white guy, but I've never met anyone who could outrun me. My brother in law is 6'5" and pretty healthy, has those Ethiopian legs and tight calves, and I wasted him on a hill sprint. At first I thought he was letting me win as my footsteps took the lead ahead of his, then I glanced over my shoulder once I had the upper hand and saw his face, riddled with exasperation! I want to run faster than you, I want to win, I want to leave you wondering how the hell I did it! If I was ever born for anything, it was exploding. Race me!

I just google mapped my driveway and apparently I've been doing 77 meter sprints. I guess I should use a real distance so my time means something, huh?

Just starting to sprint as well. Trying to figure out what distance would be reasonable to start? What distance would be my goal? And how to measure meters to a mile? I live in Louisiana, so the only hills we have are levees, and they are small I could run up the levee in only a few seconds.

Don't just dive into sprinting, unless you already have well-conditioned legs. I've been slowly building up. 100m seems reasonable to me. It feels just a little longer than my legs want to carry me.

I used google maps and zoomed in to my property. Then you right click and set markers from A to B and it tells you the distance. Start short, or you'll just have it tell you ".1 miles", lol. Google Maps will give you feet, you just google for conversion to meters. You want 328 feet for 100m.
