Anybody have a good brand of smoked oysters that doesn't come in cottonseed oil?

I can't find any in my town, so I buy the ones in cottonseed oil, drain well, and sometimes even rinse them out with hot water. But just draining the can well is probably good enough. If you drain them, you are probably only getting 1/4 of a tsp or less of the oil.

I tried these and really liked them:

Smoked Bacon Oysters | Mark's Daily Apple

Easy to fix and pretty quick.

Oyster is my favorite food. Usually I fry them with batter. Also it is good with chili sauce.

Mark just recently had a canned oyster recipe, you should be able to find it from last week. It was oysters wrapped in bacon and cooked at 400 degrees for 20 minutes. Make sure the pan your cooking on them has holes or something and you have something to catch the grease, or they'll get greasy. Anyway, I made it, it was DELICIOUS.

Edited to add: I see Terry H beat me, and he put in a link. Whoop!

I just get the cheap canned oysters in water. Open can, drink all the water, eat the oysters, simple as that. They're really good that way! And at $2.00 per can, not the cheapest - but so nutrient dense it's totally worth it. I eat about three 6 oz. cans a week. Polar brand from Grocery Outlet.
Steak, eggs, potatoes - fruits, nuts, berries and forage. Coconut milk and potent herbs and spices. Tea instead of coffee now and teeny amounts of kelp daily. Let's see how this does! Not really had dairy much, and gut seems better for it.
