Not all Christians follow or believe this junk. Pat Robertson has been interpreting the Bible on his own for a long time. Too bad he and many others have it wrong and have had it wrong for a while.

As for the low carb being "against the rules of God," God is gracious and has told us that he gave us both "manna" and "quail" to eat in the desert.

And in the New Testament, Christ ate with the poor and the rich. And the poor and the rich ate both poor food (rice, grains and cheap bread) and the rich food (the "fatted calf"). It's pretty obvious that the foods eaten were set for certain protective reasons and that they were not restrictive for restrictions sake as talked about in the NT. That has been showed for 2,000 years.
The eyes of all hope in thee, O Lord: and thou givest them meat in due season.

My best friend has been teasing me about going primal ever since I told her... It's okay, she likes playing the devil's advocate and she really can't understand how I live without pasta and bread.
Today she and I went on a shopping spree, which I managed on a bit of smoked salmon, half a cucumber and a machiatto with full fat cream. so she got curious. she summed up lots of foods she likes.
she: "can you have this, and this and this. etc..."
    Me: Nope.
She: how can you get by without pasta and bread?
me: easy, I eat veggies instead of that stuff.
She: I can't imagine eating like that. (in the mean time we are having a full primal dinner.
    Me: did you like dinner.
she: yes, I never thought of buying sweet potatoes. I wouldn't know what to do with them. Also the roast beef I never eat because I don't know how rare they have to be. It was really good, I'm full
    Me: you are totally primal!

    - chirp, chirp, chirp- more crickets...

She: still can't imagine doing it, this is too much work!!!
    My story, My thought....

It's all about trying to stay healthy!!!!

Yep, being thin and healthy is too much work!

Hauling around 30lbs or more of unnecessary fat everyday is sooo easy!

Disclaimer: I eat 'meat and vegetables' ala Primal, although I don't agree with the carb curve. I like Perfect Health Diet and WAPF Lactofermentation a lot.

No. It is a term used to describe those from the north, generally the New England area, or more historically those on the Union side in the Civil War.

Yankee is someone north of the Mason- Dixon line. In the deeper South and parts of TX, da*nyankee is a reference to a New Englander.
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, steak in one hand, chocolate in the other, yelling "Holy F***, What a Ride!"

    The things you learn.

Outside of america I think the terms american and yankee are a little interchangeable....
