Not all Christians follow or believe this junk. Pat Robertson has been interpreting the Bible on his own for a long time. Too bad he and many others have it wrong and have had it wrong for a while.

And in the New Testament, Christ ate with the poor and the rich. And the poor and the rich ate both poor food (rice, grains and cheap bread) and the rich food (the "fatted calf"). It's pretty obvious that the foods eaten were set for certain protective reasons and that they were not restrictive for restrictions sake as talked about in the NT. That has been showed for 2,000 years.
