I started to try to watch protein this week. It would seem that I have a much harder time limiting protein than carbs. I tried to reach for more fat, but those items drove up my protein and/or my calories also. So I had even more calories than I normally do. As a result, I was not successful at keeping protein low nor calories low. I was still probably in a maintenance range though. I did have a headache from hell yesterday. That could have been from any number of things though.
Now today, my protein is decent, but fat is low and carbs are too high for ketosis. I made the mistake of buying two really large BEAUTIFUL cantaloupe at the Dutch market this morning. It seemed like I could just not get enough to eat today once I opened my window at about 11:30. But I am pretty full at the moment, and if I skip supper, my calories will be okay and help average out yesterdays. Fat still too low though.
