TaxAct is a better program. Very much like TurboTax, but I found it got me slightly more of a refund, is more thorough, and is more user-friendly. (And depending on how you file, it's pretty cheap too.)

Turbo tax is about as easy as it giets.

I have home and business and it handles it as well as a good CPA, unless you like to "play in the gray as they say."

PS every american should have some type of home based business IMO.

I did it - I filed our taxes last night & am AMAZED at how quick & easy Turbo Tax is to use. Will definitely use this from now on - saved me a ton in prep fees, too. Thanks again to everyone for the input.

I've been using it for as long as it has been available. I used to prepare taxes for a living and TT is excellent for what it is. You can skip the interview and directly enter the info. It can alert newbs to many things they wouldn't get doing the return manually or by some inexperienced preparer. Worth the money for sure.

Aye that's what I do for myself as 90% of it never applies to me. When I'm doing family members though I'll have them sit there with me and I'll fly through all the questions.
