Well, free for all doesn't seem to be cutting it for me, either. ;)

So I'm in week 3 now, and just had my first dd that I would say really was not difficult. I had eaten more protein and fat on...

Well, week 2 was a disaster. Week 1 was good, with a net loss of 5 lbs after the weekend. Week 2, I loss less on each dd and gained more on each ud. Plus I stupidly tried cheese. GF pizza, so carbs...

    2 questions...Hypothroidism and snacking

I am hypothyroid and have been for years. I take Armour and cytomel. I like the idea of increasing carbs to reduce stress on thyroid and adrenals, but the reality is that every time I do, I gain...

    Alternate Day Fasting-Support and Chat

So I'm on my last down day this week, making 6 in 2 weeks. Some observations:

1 practice does make it easier. The worst day was the second fast day. The best so far was #5.

    2. Eating carbs on...

    Alternate Day Fasting-Support and Chat

AIP is autoimmune Paleo. More restrictive. Eliminates eggs and nuts and nightshades for those who react to them.

I do much better with set days, so my down days are Mon, Wed, Fri, rather than...

I'll go back and read so I don't irritate people by asking questions that were answered last week, but here I am. I just finished my first week of AIP UDDD and lost 6 lbs....

    Up day/down day?

Has anyone here tried the up day/down day or every other day diet? I'm trying it out for the first time this week.

    Fodmaps?

I find that amounts consumed matter a lot. For example, I seem to do ok with tomatoes in my salad, but any sort of tomato sauce is much more concentrated.

As for whether or not chocolate is a...

I am noticing the same. It took forever to figure out that's what was going on. Now, if I keep my overall FODMAPS low, I seem to be able to tolerate some things I couldn't before. Like chocolate. Yay!

These were all just things I noted were giving me trouble, which led me to suspect FODMAPS. I have since been following a low FODMAPS Paleo diet with quite good results.

    Fodmaps?

So, I think I might have a problem with FODMAPS. I'm still experimenting, but so far, all the things I react to are high in FODMAPS, except eggs. I assume eggs bother me for other reasons.

    There...
